We won 3-1 against Rangers and our league hopes are much more realistic now! Maeda had an incredible match even scoring an overhead kick!
It was an amazing 2nd half. Maeda scoring 2 goals in the matter of over 3 minutes. I will do ratings but I will go through the match first.
So the first half wasn’t that good to be honest. Yang scored a good goal but I want to talk about the goal Rangers scored. So Rangers stood on one of our player’s foot and the ref played on for some reason and they scored from that play! Maeda did also miss a few golden chances but at least he scored 2 in the 2nd half. Sinisalo did a good few saves. I was actually a bit disappointed in Iheanacho maybe he just didn’t get any chances but he just couldn’t score. Maeda is on his top form and that is absolutely perfect for us because if we have him on form he is a machine he scores from all angles. Alright I’ll do ratings and I’ll do some more about the game afterwards.
Sinisalo 7.4- Did some good saves played good.
Scales 7.8- He played very good he was brave and went into everything he also did some great passes.
Trusty 7.6- Did some great passes and good tackles.
Tierney 8- Brilliant crosses great defending just great play today.
Johnston 7.8- Played great today he did some great crosses too and just good play today.
Saracchi 7- He came on late therefore didn’t really see him on the ball that much.
Ralston 7.1- The same as saracchi really he did good tackles but that’s it.
McGregor 7.9 – Played very well today got stuck in and some great passes too.
Engels 8- Played very well he’s just a very big player for us right now played some great balls today.
Hatate 7.2- He came on late so didn’t see him that much.
Nygren 7.8- Played very well made a big effort today .
McCowan 7.3- I honestly don’t know why he started but he played OK I guess.
Yang ⚽ 8- Scored a goal and played very well he did some great passes and he took his goal well.
Maeda ⚽⚽ 9.3- Played absolutely magnificent scored an overhead kick and played brilliant he stayed calm under pressure and delivered two brilliant goals today.
Tounekti 7.7- Played good today made some good runs and created good chances .
Iheanacho 7- Came on late and I don’t even know if he got a touch on the ball.
That’s my ratings I’m so happy that we won. I don’t know why McCowan was starting today i would’ve put Tounekti on the left and Yang on the right. Tell me what you thought about the match in the comments.
The title race is really on now! We are just one point behind Hearts as of 10/05/2026.
I am Actually going to the Celtic V Hearts match next Saturday so i won’t be able to make a match report right after the game. So if we win our next match and then we win the one V Hearts we win the league. So i could witness Celtic winning the league. Do you guys think The OX should’ve came on tell me what you think down in the comments. It was such a good goal that Maeda scored tho like what a goal!
So rangers are basically out of the league race now.
