But we lost Maeda and Iheanacho so we needed two strikers. But now West Ham and Nottingham Forrest show interest in Engels so we need a midfielder. But now Martin O&#8217;Neill even comfirms it that Everton have shown interest in our Right Back Johnston. And they most likely will put a bid in for him. Everton will put in a bid for a fee for around 10 Million pounds . Which to be honest is just not worth it at all. Like maybe 20 Million pounds would be a nice fee. Some fans are even saying &#8221; Is that for his left leg ?&#8221; . <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn1.67hailhail.com\/uploads\/18\/2026\/07\/GettyImages-2276067544-scaled-e1785395926501-1024x647.jpg\" alt=\"Celtic fans in disbelief at Everton's incoming Alistair Johnston bid: 'Is  that for his left leg?'\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.5827682489030714;width:472px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I feel like all the players we let go turn out to be a big player like Virgil Van Dijk and Matt O&#8217;Reilly which obviously isn&#8217;t as big of as Van Dijk but still turned out to be good . And i just have a feeling that Johnston will turn out to be a big player as well as Engels . I hope the board has got a few players in mind if he does leave. Maybe just maybe if Johnston leaves to Everton Julian Araujo could be on the cards for that RB spot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But sure Johnston&#8217;s Market Value is about 15 Million so i wouldn&#8217;t except that fee of 10 million .   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com\/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQJUcgBCpJG5JSwnMzR3lXsXmINjxa--PuQ2eu01ryjJlP6Lzoenzgo_Gt4&amp;s=10\" alt=\"The reported \u00a310m+ valuation for Alistair Johnston is genuinely  embarrassing.
